I remember when we bought our first house and moved our belongings in and were eager to meet our neighbors. But nobody came knocking. It felt strange. Lonely. Of course, eventually we did meet the neighbors and they were all very nice, but I still remember that initial feeling. So, whenever we get new neighbors I go over, say hi, bring a little treat and welcome them to the hood. New neighbors started moving in across the street last week and as I was wrapping up their goodies I discovered doilies make good wrapping paper.

That is such a thoughtful thing to do! I need to be on the ball this year and make something for each of our neighbors for Christmas-time. They had cute cards and cookies for us last year and I had to scramble to make something. But this year, I vow to plan ahead
