Yesterday morning I woke up to this.
Not a strange scene in many parts of the country, but where I live it snows MAYBE once a decade. And never this much! Our roof (on left) is dark gray when not covered in snow. By 5 o’clock in the evening there was still a tiny bit of snow on the ground. What a surreal treat!
PS: I was out in my bathrobe taking this photo. I’m sure that was a treat (not in a good way) for the neighbors.

Wonderful! I love snow. Too bad it couldn’t stick around for a bit! It’s exceptionally cold here – deepest, darkest January cold with a touch of bitter – but the idea of snow in California makes me smile (happy smile, not “ha-ha, suckers!” smile).
Seems like the whole country is getting some snow! My friend in Houston got let out of work early b/c of the snow last Friday. They never get snow either. Haha.
Wasn’t that fun? Okay, but it’s a little tooooo cold. I couldn’t leave for lunch because I was having a shiver fest!
