Due to the “blizzard” we had on Monday one of our rose trees nearly toppled over. I propped it up temporarily until we could re-stake it (which of course we haven’t done yet). Today we had some heavy rains and the top of the poor thing was nearly touching the ground.
I walked around the house for several minutes brainstorming a solution and muttering to myself, “What could I use? What could I use?”. The idea that popped into my head was to tie the tree to the nearby fence. String. I need some string. Do we have any string? As I head out the door to the garage to look in the toolbox for some string, I pass the gazillion spools of bakers twine sitting on my dining room table. Um. Hello. Do we have any string? Sheesh.
Ok, it’s no permanent fix, but it will work for now. I chose yellow and white Divine Twine to coordinate with the roses. Next I’m thinking of adding a car on blocks or perhaps an old broken washing machine to the front yard. Classy, no?

Don’t forget garden gnomes and pink flamingos with sunglasses.
The twine is proving to be quite the resource….
Another fab use for the twine. Here’s a shot of some recent holiday treats I baked and wrapped with the divine twine in Cranberry.
