Before you look at the photos, please know that no one was hurt. Having said that, here’s the story of what happened in my world yesterday.
My friend D and I were upstairs at her house exercising when we heard (and felt!) a loud sound and cracking/crunching noises. We ran to the window and saw this (minus the people and the chair) in her driveway.
A delivery truck was going up the hill on the road in front of her house. It stalled and rolled backwards down the hill, through her hedge and tipped over onto D’s car. Crushing it.
The whole experience was surreal and scary. The truck driver was examined by paramedics and was fine. He drove his truck away (while it made a loud clunking sound) after the biggest tow truck I’ve ever seen worked an hour or so to upright the sideways vehicle. It could have been so much worse, but everything turned out ok (if you don’t count landscape damage and a beautiful car being totaled).

Wow, that cold have been horrible! I’m glad everyone was ok
I had my car smashed into by a truck few weeks ago now – he’s finally fixed but it has been a big stress. I hope it all works out for your friend.
Wow~that’s quite the crushed car. So glad no-one was hurt!
Holy crow!!! I am impressed you had the presence of mind to take pictures! I hope D is not too upset by the loss of her car and can remember that it could’ve been much much worse.
Holy crow!
Holy smoke! That’s crazy…glad no one was injured. Also glad you mentioned that BEFORE the pics. lol
