Trendy Divine Twine Bracelet

March 26th, 2015 § 0 comments § permalink

Vanessa Spencer, one of our newest members to join the Whisker Graphics Design Team, uses Divine Twine to create a trendy friendship bracelet. In macrame style, she attaches the twine to a nail head. You could also attach it to a clip board but be sure to fasten it tightly or it will be a tangled mess!

Strategically braid it strand by strand to create a rainbow of colors. What a fun project for a tween age girl party. Provide the twine and let them be the artists of their creations!

Here’s a link to Vanessa’s Blog for a play by play. Stay tuned for next week’s post that includes more Whisker Graphics jewelry ideas. Plus, for other WG Wearables, check out our board on Pinterest. We’d love to see what you create!

Whisker Graphics Custom Stamps ~ some day…

April 19th, 2011 § 1 comment § permalink

The days seem to be slipping through my fingers. Where does the time go? For the last year or so I’ve had a yearning to add custom stamps to the shop offerings, but time (or lack there of) seems to be thwarting progress in that direction. A few months ago I was able to design a few stamps and have them made so I could check out the quality and how they perform. Overall I’m pleased and have really been enjoy using the stamps. Though I don’t know when they will make it into the new Packaging Section of the shop, I thought I’d share a peek of what will come. Some day…

Shipping Tag Rubber Stamp

I use this Shipping Tag rubber stamp on all my business envelopes now and love it!

I purposely made the size of the Fork & Spoon “from the Kitchen” stamp to fit the small shipping tags. This stamp is going to come in so handy at the holidays when we deliver cookies.

Bitty Bags are Here!

April 9th, 2011 § 2 comments § permalink

They’re here! They’re here! The shipment of Bitty Bags has arrived and I couldn’t be more tickled. They look and feel great!

It seems silly to be so excited about paper bags. But I am. I really am. I’ve been working on these for almost a year and it’s so satisfying to finally hold them in my hands, use them as I envisioned and be able to share them with you.

Available both retail and wholesale in quantities of 20 to 500.

New Product ~ Bitty Bags

Bitty Bags ~ 2 sizes: bigger & little

I haven’t been blogging much because I’ve been working and working and working and working on filling orders and creating new products for Whisker Graphics. One of the new products is called Bitty Bags. I’m so excited to finally be able to share them with you! (They’ve been in the works for nearly a year! Some day I will share the gory details of why it took so long.)

Though Bitty Bags are food safe, I envisioned using them beyond favor or treat bags (though they work great for that too!). I created them in 2 sizes, bigger 6.25 x 9.25″ and little 2.75 x 4″.

Pink & Chocolate Bitty Bags

The bigger size will hold A7 or A2 envelopes and makes for a nice wrap for stationery sets or an invitation. They will hold a sandwich (wrapped in wax paper and tied with Divine Twine first) to make a nice presentation at a picnic or buffet. And they make cute gift wrapping too.

The little size is so sweet. They are perfect for gift card or gift tag enclosure, loose candy treats and a business card fits just right. I’ve been using them to organize small samples of a different product I’m working on and it makes me smile each time I use one.

They will be available both retail and wholesale; in packs of 20 or in bulk. The first shipment is on its way and I’ve put them up on the website, but they won’t be available to order for a few more days (I want to make sure they arrive safely). You can sign up to be notified when they are in stock by visiting any Bitty Bag item page and clicking on the “Request Re-stock Notice” under the photos.

Shark Tank is Back!!

March 28th, 2011 § 2 comments § permalink

Have you watched Shark Tank before? I’m a little late to the party and only discovered this show late last season, but now I’m addicted. I could talk business possibilities all day long and I find it fascinating to see how the investors (sharks) think and strategize. It’s on ABC Friday nights, but you can also catch a past episode here.

Just BE Cause – A Great Idea

February 16th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

JustBECause Logo

A little bit ago I designed a logo for a good cause called Just BE Cause. Michelle of Main-ly Home came up with the great idea of delivering homemade cookies to her local food pantry throughout the year. You can read more about how the idea came about here. She organized many volunteers and created a fun and purpose-filled event that brought food, friends and fun together all for a good cause. You can read here how the event turned out. They used the logo on tags they tied on each bag of cookies.

Michelle surprised me by sending a box of “Main-ly” goodies to me. All the treats are from businesses located in Maine.

Inside the box:
The cutest Lobster Heart card from Julie Knappp
Pure Maple Syrup and Maple Candies from Main Maple Products
A bar of wonderful soap from Casco Bay Soap Co
Buttermilk Pancake Mix from Fieldstone Farms
and an assortment of tasty homemade cookies that I tore into before it dawned on me to take a photo, hence the empty bag.

It was like Christmas in February to receive a surprise package in the mail. So fun! Thanks Michelle!

New Divine Twine ~ Plum

November 8th, 2010 § 3 comments § permalink

Another color will soon join the Divine Twine family ~ Plum. This shade of purple lands somewhere between grape and eggplant, but a little softer. It should be available by the end of the year. If you’re interested, you can visit this page on the website and sign up to receive an email notification of when it’s in stock.

Tint Books ~ A Handy Tool

October 17th, 2010 § 4 comments § permalink

It’s frustrating to design items on my computer and not know exactly how the colors will print on press.  For several years I’ve wanted a book that showed all the screen mixes possible (I think that’s somewhere in the gazillions) but I didn’t know what to call such a thing so I could search for it. Well, apparently it’s called a Tint Book. And now I’m the blissed-out owner of two of them, one for uncoated paper and one for coated paper. I received my Tintbooks last Friday and I’m so impressed with the quality and organization of them. I wouldn’t have a clue as to how to organize a gazillion colors! And right now they are on sale for $55 a book (a few weeks ago they were $80 each). Does is get any better finding something you’ve been wanting and having it be on sale? I think not.

Below is a shot showing how the books work. Pretty dang clever.

Bright Side Project Opportunity

September 23rd, 2010 § 0 comments § permalink

Did you know that The Bright Side Project website is for sale? Well it is and it’s quite the opportunity for someone who likes to spread some sunshine and run a business full time. Miss B and Miss Lindsey would love for the new owner(s) to keep the site going. With the sale the new Sunshine Ambassador(s) will receive the site, all contacts, the readership, the logo, url etc.  Basically everything you’ll need to hit the ground running. If this sounds like opportunity knocking then shoot them and email right here and answer that door.

Where Am I?
