Creative Halloween Treat Bags

October 25th, 2016 § 0 comments § permalink

Michelle P. is back today with a little Halloween treat that she made for one of her good friends.  Halloween is her jam.  She’s in to those little candy skulls, sugar skulls, whatever they are called.  You know, those skulls that are all colorful and cute ….even though they are still a skull!  She picked up some of her favorite chocolates, and some cute skull tin candies and packaged them up all funlike using pieces from our Whisker Graphics website like this super cool Divine Twine Twist in Halloween pattern.

Bags are the best for wonky-shaped things.  Don’t get me wrong, I love me some gift wrapping with boxes and paper too, but a bag will accommodate just about anything.

These Horizontal Stripe Middy Bitty Bags in orange and black are naturally perfect for the occasion.

I die cut a little banner piece, and the numbers 31 (for October 31st) in purple because sometime over the last 10 years Halloween colors went from black and orange to black and orange and purple and green, right?

I used a Large Colored Tag in green and layered fun bits with it using dimensional adhesive.  Dimensional adhesive is so great.  Adding spaced layers while being your adhesive.

And then I stacked my bags together, tied my twine around it, layered on my tag – and we are gift-ready!

Happy Halloween!

Back to School Banner

Summer may be waning, but veteran WG Design Team Member Betsy Skagen, adds excitement (and sneaks in a little extra learning) to those last carefree days with this cute-as-can-be, back-to-school countdown banner.

Kids are sure to love the colorful tassels made from our new eco-friendly Bamboo Divine Twine Collection as they count down the days until school begins on Small Red Tags.

The Bamboo Divine Twine, available in a baker’s dozen colors, is 18 ply, creating a richer, bolder shade with just a touch of luster to give it a little shimmer. Each of the banner’s tags, tucked inside a Notebook Bitty Bag, features a special school-related activity that makes those yearly tasks a little more fun. For the full tutorial on how to make this banner, make sure to visit Betsy’s blog Paper Calliope.

Divine Twine Cross Stitch

August 18th, 2015 § 0 comments § permalink

Design Teamer Dawn Smith is from Seattle and, as such, a huge Seahawks’ fan. In honor of their first first pre-season game, she created a 12th Man Cross Stitch Gift Tag using a green large Colored Tag and Navy Solid Divine Twine, perfect Seahawk colors! Getting the number lined up can be a challenge. Here’s Dawn’s clever tip: use a Grid Bitty Bag as a template for the cross stitch pattern. Just insert the tag in the bag, draw the number on the grid and use a push pin to create the number template. Then, follow the template to embroider your number!

Attach the tag to a clear bag or box with assorted candies and you have the perfect treat for your die-hard fan. Or give it as a fun host or hostess gift at the next big game party.
