Fast and Festive Candle Holder

December 24th, 2015 § 0 comments § permalink

Candles, candles everywhere! ‘Tis the season for lighting up the house with the soft glow of candles. Grab a brandy snifter, small golden ornaments, Metallic Gold Divine Twine and other embelishments from your holiday decor box, and you have yourself a candle holder. Choose a glass that perfectly fits a standard votive and these little lovelies could be at each place setting at your holiday table. Save to reuse next year or send home with your guests. Or, use a pillar candle in a larger globe for a fast and festive centerpiece. Of course, you could switch out the gold for any color that suits you — green, red, silver or blue! Mix it up and be creative!

Divine Twine Tapestry

November 3rd, 2015 § 0 comments § permalink

Whisker Graphics Designer, Shirley Karnos, showcases Solid Divine Twine in this trendy tapestry using both our Diva Collection as well as our Traditional line of twine.

Each twine is cut the same length then looped tied onto a wooden dowel. Adjust the twine length to fit your needs. The result is a lovely drape to use as a backdrop for a display or a simple splash of color. Pick your twine colors to fit the season or your decor. I’m envisioning one in holiday colors! This would also be a fun and simple project to do with children.

Color Me Pink Valentine Party

February 10th, 2015 § 3 comments § permalink

Design Team member, Rachel McAffee, has quite the knack for throwing a party.  This week she shared her Mommy and Me Valentine party with us. Take a look at these party hats made using Pink Frosting, Polka Dot and Diagonal striped Bigger Bitty Bags – a little girl’s dream!

She makes two different favor bags. For one, she seals the top of the bitty bag and makes a horizontal cut so it opens like an envelope instead of a bag. Clever! She uses twine and a bingo card to embellish her bag, but any notions from your craft stash would do!

Here’s a closeup of the little favor bag. A little bitty white polka on brown kraft maintains the whimsy but  adds a stylish contrast and the Sweet Sticky ties it all together!

Of course, every party needs garland!  Rachel’s hearts are hung with Cotton Candy Divine Twine.  The perfect finishing touch!

Supplies Rachel used:
Cotton Candy Divine Twine
Pink Frosting Bigger Bitty Bag
Pink Polka Dot Bigger Bitty Bag
Diagonal Stripe Bigger Bitty Bag
Pink Polka Dot Middy Bag
White Polka Dot Bitty Bag
Sweet Sticky Labels

To see the party come to life, please check out Rachel’s blog at Fawnprints.
