Last Minute Holiday Gift Tags

December 22nd, 2011 § 2 comments § permalink

I meant to create some free holiday gifts tags to share with you, but time flew by too fast and it didn’t happen. (Goal for 2012: better time management!) However, I did find some super cute (and free!) holiday tags courtesy of Trader Joe’s. If you live in The States and have a Trader Joe’s near you, go shopping quick and you’ll discover the gift tags printed on the TJ’s shopping bag. White on brown kraft, one of my favorite combos!

I used my Xyron sticker maker to create “tape” to seal the bags closed.

Gifts for my mom wrapped with Bitty Bags, Peppermint Divine Twine (will be back in stock tomorrow!) and Trader Joe’s gift tags. Ready to mail!

Wishing you Joyful, Safe & Happy Holidays!

xo,
Whitney

Free Printable ~ Gobble Gobble

November 18th, 2011 § 3 comments § permalink

A free Printable to use for Thanksgiving. They will work as place cards, gift tags, food labels at a buffet, or appreciation cards. I don’t know why, but they crack me up. I think it’s because when I look at them I hear “gobble, gobble, gobble” over and over again really fast in my head and it makes me smile. Some words are just fun to say. Seriously, try it. (Elf reference alert: Francisco). I hope you enjoy them. If you get a chance, leave a comment and let me know how you plan to use them. Gobble, gobble.  ~ Whitney

Oh! Another idea, print on full sheet label stock and use as name tags for large gatherings.

Free Printable ~ Appreciation Cards

November 17th, 2011 § 4 comments § permalink

I’m a big believer in the power of appreciation. Most nights as I drift off to sleep, I think of things I’m thankful for and appreciate. Sometimes they are big things like good health, other times mundane things like indoor plumbing or my electric blanket. I also like to know what others are thankful for and appreciate. This Thanksgiving I plan on forcing asking my family to share what they are thankful for and jot down their appreciation on these cards I made. Then I’m going to date each card and tuck them away for future enjoyment (years from now). Feel free to do the same. Of course, you can use the cards anytime, not just for Thanksgiving.  ~ Whitney

Free Printable ~ Holiday Garland

November 28th, 2010 § 58 comments § permalink

Back in February I offered a free Valentine’s Day garlands printable and people seemed to like it. A reader asked about a holiday garland. Great idea!

This time around there are two sheets. You can mix and match the words to create your own sayings. There are several tiny images to place at the beginning and end of words + they also make great gift tags.

Use as gift tags too

You can use tape (yea! another reason to use Japanese Masking Tape!) to hang a garland on your front door, mantle or wall. One attached to a large wrapped gift would be nifty too.

If you download this printable, it would be lovely if you’d leave a comment. It’s fun to see who and how many people enjoy it. Feel free to spread the word. Enjoy!

Google Tricks

October 15th, 2010 § 1 comment § permalink

Here are some nifty tricks Google can do for you directly from the Search field.

Perform Calculations:
What’s 30% off that $78 dress you love? Type “78 x .33” in the search field and click “Search”.

Convert Measurements or Currency:
Type “cups into liter” or “22 dollars in euros”.

Track Airline Flights:
Enter the airline and flight number.

Locate/Track Packages:
Type “track” and the tracking number for a direct link to the status page.

Movie Showtimes:
Type “movies” plus your city or zip code and see theaters and showtimes for the next 3 days.

I offer these up in case you missed them when they appeared in the January 2010 issue of Real Simple (a magazine I adore).
