Glassine Bag Luminaries

December 9th, 2014 § 2 comments § permalink

Another fabulous holiday project comes our way from Design Team Member, Rachel McAfee. She’s created these gorgeous, glittery luminaries using Glassine Bags. They’re cut in half then punched with snowflakes. The glitter comes from the Mica sprinkled over an adhesive spray. You can create various sizes to fit your candles and create a stunning centerpiece. For more detailed instructions please see Rachel’s Blog. Love these!

Bitty Bag Place Cards

November 4th, 2014 § 4 comments § permalink

Happy November! With Halloween behind us, we look ahead to Thanksgiving. It’s a holiday about family, friends, food and being thankful for all three. Design Team member, Savannah O’Gwynn, has a lovely idea for your Thanksgiving Day table. She gives us 3 different ways to use bitty bags and twine for Thanksgiving place cards that double as “thankful cards”. Write the guest’s name on the front to mark their place at the table. Then, have pens available so each can jot down one thing for which they are thankful. You can go around the table and share them or keep them tucked away inside the bitty bag. For a video tutorial by Savannah, click HERE.

Navy Bitty Bag Wrap

September 23rd, 2014 § 1 comment § permalink

Today’s post is by Design Team member, Heather Pulvirenti. Heather’s projects always have a fresh and lovely feel to them. This one is no exception! She uses one of our new Navy Horizontal Stripe Bitty Bags as her base, then embellishes it with two fun techniques. First, she stamps it with Versamark ink and heat embosses with platinum powder. Then, to add layers and a pop of color, she wraps a heart shaped die cut with Teal Divine Twine and adheres it to the front of the package. You could use it as an envelope for a homemade card (Middy Bitty Bags fit A2 note cards perfectly!) or as wrap for a small gift. Either way it’s stunning!

Pen and Pencil Holder

September 18th, 2014 § 1 comment § permalink

Happy Thursday, everyone! Design Team member, Betsy Skagen of Paper Calliope, has created a novel way of keeping her writing supplies from walking away. In her case, they seem to walk out the door in the clutches of her daughter! We all know the type. No pen, pencil or marker is safe. Thankfully, using her craftiness and some Whisker Graphics products, Betsy has been able to stop the thievery. Divine Twine is the chain and the wooden spools decked out in Brown Kraft Bitty Bags serve as the anchors. Cute and clever!

Metallic Gold Gift Bag and Favor Set

September 9th, 2014 § 2 comments § permalink

Here’s a  lovely combination of color by design Team Member Rachel McAffee. She pairs our new Metallic Gold Bitty Bags with Teal Divine Twine for a fun yet sophisticated look. The Horizontal Striped bag is cleverly sewn into the larger Glassine bag creating a soft, layered effect.  And what a presentation for the Rock Candy! Together, these make a great gift bag and favor combo or can be used as party decor to add pizzazz to your table settings or candy buffet. Don’t you just love the use of a bottle to hold the Rock Candy Sticks? Once the candy is gone, the bottle can be re-used as a vintage bud vase. Oh the possibilities!

More New Bitty Bags!

August 21st, 2014 § 1 comment § permalink

Last week we showed off the new glittery, Gold Metallic Bitty Bags. This week, we’d like to give you a peek at two others that hit the shelves.

Navy Horizontal Stripe Middy Bags – 5 x 7.5″
The fresh, crisp look of  bold Navy on white kraft is perfect for nautical themed parties. For a patriotic flair, pair these bags with our Air Mail, Cherry, Solid Red or Solid Navy Divine Twine. We also love how they play so happily with any of our Yellow Bitty Bags.

Light Pink Polka Dot Middy Bags – 5 x 7.5″
Soft, pale pink is a lovely addition to the existing line of Polka Dot Middys. Although our Hot Pink Polka Dots are very popular, sometimes a subtler shade is in order.  We also carry Light Pink in the convenient 6.25 x 9.25″ Bigger Bitty Bag size in both Polka Dot and Diagonal Stripe so mixing and matching is easy!

All of our New Bitty Bags are in stock and ready to ship. Just place your order on our website and we will promptly get them out to you.

Cheers!

Back to School Notebook Goodie Bags

August 12th, 2014 § 2 comments § permalink

It’s Back to School time! We are seeing ads everywhere announcing its arrival. In the spirit of the season, Design Team member Rachel McAffee creates these fun goodie bags to give to teachers or kids that are heading back to school. She used the Notebook Middy Bags (SO perfect for school themed projects!) and then tied little Divine Twine tassels onto each bag. I like how the vintage flashcards give them a classic, old-school feel. Stuff the bags with treats, pencils or other school supplies. It might just soften the blow for those kiddos (and teachers!) that are sad to see the lazy days of summer come to an end.
