Sweet and Simple Gift Wrap

December 1st, 2015 § 0 comments § permalink

Let’s face it, sometimes it’s all about the packaging! Short on time? You can still  pull off a look that will impress. Designer Shirley Karnos, goes back to the basics and uses our 6 x 9″ Bigger Bitty Bag to package some birthday goodies. She creates a layered look starting with various sized doilies, then adds a Sweet Sticky Label, washi tape and other embellishments. The glittery Metallic Silver twine makes a lovely bow when tied through a clear button. Take a peek in your craft box and see what you have to give your next gift wrap a designer look!

Bitty Bag Recipe Binder

October 6th, 2015 § 0 comments § permalink

Recipe collecting can get messy and disorganized. We tear recipes from magazines, print them online, and have a file full of the old school recipe cards. What do you do with all the different shapes and sizes? How do you keep them organized.? Shirley Karnos has a solution: a simple, sensible recipe binder to house ALL of your recipes!  She starts with an aqua Bigger Bitty Bag cut down a bit to fit into a 5.5 x 8.5 binder. She stamps and labels the cover and each recipe category on a Sweet Sticky. (The Sweet Sticky Labels are available in three colors and also come with a template so text can be added and printed on your printer – handy!)

Laminate each of the section dividers to make them sturdy so pages turn without tearing.

Trim the top of the laminated bag to open it and create a pocket to store smaller recipe cards and magazine clippings.

Hole punch fullsize recipes and add to the appropriate section. The three ring binder makes it easy to add new sections and pages as needed.

That’s it – recipe storage made simple! For more details on creating your personalized Recipe Binder, please see Shirley’s blog at ShirleyShirleyBoBirley.

Love this contemporary and fun Baby Card by designer Shirley Karnos! Her outside-the-box design is a trendy alternative to the traditional pastel themed baby shower. A gray Honeycomb Middy is the base with deep pink–almost bordering on red–textured card stock. Boy or Girl? It works either way! Shirley layers up the card to give it a custom look with a Sweet Sticky frame and Petite Sticky center. Oh Baby!

This year it’s a black and white Christmas!  Her  simple place setting is perfect for casual entertaining.  Check out the origami trees using Bigger Bitty Bags – genius! She uses the Bitty Bag trimmings to wrap a little treat box and Little Bitty Bags labeled with Sweet Stickys for utensil holders. Cookie Treat Bag with Coordinating Card

June 20th, 2014 § 1 comment § permalink

Happy Friday, Happy Summer! Guest Designer, Jennifer Ferrell, helps us kick off the first official day of the season using fresh, summertime colors. Her Bitty Bag treat bag, lined with acetate, not only lets the scrumptious cookie show through, it also protects the bitty bag from grease stains that might otherwise appear. You could also use a moisture resistant Glassine Bag as a liner. They come in 2 sizes and are perfect for giving baked treats. I love how Jennifer uses the scroll punch in the Sweet Sticky to make a window, then perfectly coordinates the “To You from Me” card with the same punch – super clever, super cute!

Divine Twine – Solid Blue and Solid Deep Pink
