Butterfly Crafty Download
November 30th, 2009 § 4 comments
Here’s a fun little craft supply for wrapping gifts, making garland, decorating or card making. A sheet full of butterfly outlines. There is a sheet of larger butterflies and a sheet of smaller butterflies. You can print them on text paper, card stock, scrapbook paper, wrapping paper (print on the back), kraft paper, grid paper or whatever you like.
I received something special wrapped in this very pretty map paper. I made copy of it on my scanner/copier because I didn’t want to use up the original. Then I printed the butterfly outline pdf on the back.
Cut out the butterflies with scissors.
I used a glue stick to attach butterflies to the cards and added some Japanese masking tape.
I punched two 1/8″ holes in a butterfly and threaded some divine bakers twine through them to wrap a gift. I like bending the wings slightly so it looks like the butterfly just landed. (Paper from my life time supply.)

Enjoy!

Paper Lantern Ornaments – Part Deux
November 10th, 2009 § 11 comments
I’ve been obsessing over these paper lantern ornaments. I’ve tried several different papers. Thick scrapbook stock doesn’t work well (the brad is too short). Wrapping paper is too thin (unless you have some good quality stuff it easily rips). Scrapbook paper (not thick stock) is just right. I bought some 12 x 12″ sheets at Michael’s on sale and started cutting. After I added the brads and opened the balls, I attached some Divine Twine to the top so I can hang them.
I used one on a baby shower gift along with some more divine bakers twine and my lifetime supply of gift wrap.
If you’re thinking you might like to get your craft on and make some of these, click here to download a pre-measured grid you can print on the back of your paper so you won’t have to measure over and over.
Gift Wrapping with Divine Bakers Twine
October 23rd, 2009 § 3 comments
Playing around a bit (and wrapping a few gifts) with the bakers twine and some stickers.
For the bottom wrap job, I took plain 1″ circular labels, hand-stamped with birds and bees, spaced them out along the Licorice twine and backed them up to each other.

The ever-wonderful Miss B over at Le Blahg left a comment that an email sign up would be handy for those of you who want to be notified when the Divine Twine hits the streets.
You can email me at whiskergraphics [at] gmail.com. Please include your email address, your name and your wish to be added to the list in the email and it will be done.
(You know to type @ instead of [at], right? This is my attempt at keeping le spammers at bay.) I will not share your info with anyone else, nor will I use it for anything else. Thanks!

I’ve been playing around a bit trying to figure out a simple, clean packaging for the bakers twine. Came up with a name for it too.

Our new neighbors had a baby. Charlie. I made a little something for him and big sister Molly.
Of course I couldn’t resist using some bakers twine for wrapping.
Bakers Twine Garland

Playing a bit with the bakers twine samples. Made a little garland with the twine and some japanese washi masking tape and tried it out for gift wrapping. Two of my favorite things. How can you go wrong?
