Free Printable – Fourth of July

June 23rd, 2011 § 3 comments

I know I sound like a broken record, but seriously, where does the time go!?? How can it already be time to celebrate the Fourth of July? Well apparently it is, so I’ve put together a free Printable for you to use in your decorating. There are 12 scallop circles to the 8.5 x 11″ page and they can be used in lots of ways. Create a garland, make cupcake toppers, decorate some gift bags, attach to a party invite or punch two holes in them and slip a straw through. Below are some photos to get your creative juices flowing. If you have time, please leave a comment and let me know how you’ll be using them. It’s nice to hear what happens to these free Printables when they go out into the world.

New Stationery Designs

October 25th, 2010 § 4 comments

My fantasy job is to design paper goods (stationery, invites, labels etc) all day long. But since filling orders, shipping, bookkeeping etc. takes up most of my work day I don’t get to do much designing anymore. (I’m not complaining. I appreciate each and every person who has ordered from Whisker Graphics. Truly I do! ) But when it was one of my best pals birthday last month, some new designs were in order. Denise requested stationery for her gift and here’s what I created for her.

Erin from Confectionary Concepts and E-L-A Designs let me know about this fun birthday bunting she made using Divine Twine™ and a paper punch. I love the idea of surprising someone by decorating their workspace. So clever! Thanks Erin! PS: Erin also has a cute etsy shop.

Valentine Garland FREE Printable

January 28th, 2010 § 34 comments

valentine-garland-super-close-upEverywhere I look there seems to be garlands. Whether they are made from triangles of sweet fabric or stickers and tape attached to twine, I swoon over them all. I’ve been trying to figure out how to incorporate a garland (or five) into my life. Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse. Here’s what I made for the peeps in my family. If these tickle your fancy, feel free to make some for your valentines. See download link at the end of this post.

valentine-garland-curvedThere are 5 Valentine messages + some extra hearts.

valentine-garland-mirrorI plan to hang them around the house with Japanese Masking Tape in places like the back of a chair, the bathroom mirror, the shower door, closet doors, the front of the frig and for an extra surprise, on my husband’s steering wheel (or maybe his windshield) so he’ll find one when he leaves for work.

I tried to make the Printable as easy to use as possible. All the tiles butt up to each other to reduce the number of cuts and there are tiny dots to indicate where to punch the holes (I used 1/16″ hole punch, but you could use a larger size). Thread with Divine Twine, string, thin ribbon or embroidery floss. Enjoy!
