I am forever trying to think up new ideas for the bakers twine. Here’s one I came up with for our holiday card this year. I was inspired by the sewing/lacing cards I played with as a kid.

Card as recipient received it.
I punched all the holes with this.

Back of card. Taped twine down with japanese masking tape.
Label reads: part craft ~ part puzzle ~ all holiday cheer. I gave a url with a photo of the photo below.

Finished card.

I made this card for a friend a few months ago and thought it might be a fun thing to send during the hectic holidays ahead. Print one (or some), tuck into an envelope with a tea bag and mail or hand-deliver to a friend, aunt, mom, teacher, co-worker, neighbor, sister.

An A2 envelope template is included in the PDF that you can print on pretty paper.
Spread a little relaxation this season!

My mom sent me the funniest Hallmark card for my birthday and I thought I’d share it in case it can bring a smile to anyone else.

Inside there are directions:
1. Apply bows
2. Go out
3. Watch the well-wisher appear!
I’ve never had so many strangers wish me a happy birthday! And I didn’t even sport the more risque Evening Strapless Look. (hee, hee)

In case you’re operating in frantic mode and haven’t had time to get your mum a card, here’s a couple to choose from. The PDF file has both card designs and an envelope template in it. Print both cards or just print one. On your game and have your gift at the ready? You can print out the cards at a reduced size and use them as gift tags.
